Client's innovative platform utilizes visual formats to improve and simplify complex experimental techniques, enabling knowledge sharing among researchers.
PROBLEM SPACES
What we looked to fix...
Through research and analysis, we discovered three key problem areas that served as the north star for our design decision.
Irregular Design System
Many of the UI elements were mismatched or varied from page to page, leading to an decreased user experience.
Confusing Navigation
Users struggled to navigate across the site due to poor organization of the sitemap.
Cluttered Content
Content for pages was disorganized and poorly grouped causing user frustration for while referring to research.
IN RETROSPECT
Communication is king
Working with other designers taught me an important lesson about keeping an open line of communication. Adapting to a fast-paced environment was something I took away from my experience.
North stars lead the way
By establishing a north star early, I was able to remain focused throughout the design process.
